Jeff Gardner was saved at the age of 11 while attending a youth Bible camp in Missouri. He then surrendered to his call to the ministry at age 16. He went on to become a Youth Pastor at age 17. Afterwards, he graduated from Baptist Bible College in 1978 as a Bachelor of Science in Bible.  He has been a Pastor in Kansas and Virginia. He has six children, and eight grandchildren. He was called to be Senior Pastor of Lamplight Baptist Church on November 25th, 2001.

Associate Pastor Matthew King was saved at the age of 12 while attending youth Bible camp in Patrick Springs, VA. He began working with youth while still a youth himself. He was a leader-in-training at an AWANA program studying under his then-AWANA-commander father. Matthew spent a great deal of time acting as a counselor at his church’s Bible camp. He went on to serve as a Youth Pastor at Lamplight Baptist Church for five years. After which God called him and his family to Vassar, Michigan to work at a Bible camp as the camp Pastor. Matthew returned to Virginia and Lamplight as the church’s Associate Pastor. He was ordained July 20th 2008 and enjoys playing & writing music, and spending time with his wife, Charity and their two sons, Matthew & Nathanael.
